Restaurant des Dunes history comes back 1987 when tourism was yet to arrive to this little Sahara town of Erfoud in south East Morocco. Ettaiek brothers had a vision and that vision was to insure a long-term business in this yet to come “most desirable Moroccan destination.
Restaurant des Dunes came up with help of the Ettaiek family and open in December 1980 on the number 67 on Moulay Ismail Ave where Argan Shop is now located.
Restaurant des Dunes started as cozy cafe / restaurant / tea shop, where all explorers and overland expeditions would stop right before heading to the dunes of Merzouga.
Restaurant des Dunes rapidly became well known and the business boosted when family Xaluca project opened and these business partners saw their companies grow mutually.
Today there are three establishments within Ettaiek brother’s management: Restaurant des Dunes, Argan Shop and Fossiles and Ceramiques du Sahara Shop.

Restaurant des Dunes is divided into 4 separate spaces each with its special mood and decorated with character offering great atmosphere and supplying the ideal space for you to enjoy a pleasant meal whilst in Sahara Desert.
Restaurant des Dune’s menu is a combination of modern food options and a wide variety of traditional food from the region of Sahara Desert, where the town of Erfoud is located.
